Background & Experience

I am a healthcare administrator by trade, with over 30 years in the healthcare sphere including practice administration, operations, provider relations, human resources, insurance billing, and claims reconciliation. 

I earned a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Union University in Jackson, TN.  

I am a licensed Health, Life & Annuity Agent and commissioned Notary Public for the State of Florida.

I also have extensive experience in copywriting, proofreading, and editing in the professional sphere.

The Start of Beacon Consulting

In 2019 I said goodbye to day-to-day medical practice administration and established Beacon Consulting, LLC.  This shift allowed me to combine my areas of expertise and focus my skills full-time on what I love  - helping people. 

If you know me, you know that I have a deep-rooted passion for helping people understand our healthcare system and how it works while interpreting the unique language of healthcare and the mechanisms for payment.  I also have a deep connection with medically underserved communities and a desire to help them acheive better health.  These issues are what makes me tick.  

When I'm not educating on benefits offerings, in the field working with clients to better understand their insurance plans and benefits, or consulting with providers building new practices, I provide administrative support for my husband's business  Paragon Property Services, LLC , a full service home inspection company.
